Exclusive Private Italian Dinner For Four by renowned Italian Chef Brendan Prokop

Donated by Leah Miles, Ph.D., and Chef Brendan Prokop

Be wined and dined at the 1912 Historic Home of Leah Miles and Brendan Prokop, known as the Prokop Manor, in the historic downtown district of DeLand. Their home was featured in the West Volusia County Historical Society’s Heritage Home Tour in 2018 and 2022. It provides an intimate environment in an inviting space for you and your guests.

A magical evening will be planned for you and your guests (4 people). A Bourbon tasting in their Library followed by a scrumptious gourmet Italian 5-course dinner served with fine wines from Italy prepared by Chef Brendan Prokop.

Chef Brendan Prokop formally served as a chef at the 4-star restaurant Renato’s Italian Dining Ristorante in the prestigious community of Sewall’s Point, Florida. He was trained by award-winning Chef Ray Maira from Gela, Sicily. The meaning of Gela is a person who is enchanted and charmed... these same characteristics will be displayed in the preparation of the most beloved and flavorful, time-honored recipes from Italy, prepared especially for you.

The evening’s menu can be tailored to accommodate dietary restrictions. You’ll be wowed with a beautifully dressed table, impeccable service, and mouth-watering Italian dishes... homemade pasta, specialty meats and cheeses, fresh local seafood, flavorful sauces, seasonal vegetables, and decadent desserts.

Here’s what others have said about this exclusive fine dining experience:

“We had the best dinner with Leah and Brendan in their home. Our dinner was in support of Camp Boggy Creek. The food was a journey through

one’s senses paired with wines and champagne, allowing one’s tastebuds to burst from the delightful array of flavors. They are fabulous hosts, and if given a chance to bid on a private dinner in their home, we would do it in a heartbeat!” - Davina and Phil Watercutter, DeLand

“I had an amazing dining experience at local Chef Brendan Prokop’s home. Five courses were expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The orange blossom Crème Brulee was the best I’ve ever had. Thank you, Leah and Chef Brendan, for an unforgettable evening!”

- Judi Eady, DeLand (purchased in support of the Museum of Art - DeLand)

“My sister and I had a delicious dinner in the gorgeous historic home of Leah Miles and Chef Brendan Prokop, where we felt transported back into a time of elegance. Everything was handmade with the freshest ingredients from local farmers, and imported items were specially ordered for us from Itay. His garlic, rosemary herb focaccia bread was a favorite, and Insalata di Fruti di Mare was unbelievable (I dream of it). He prepared Gorgnonzola and pear purses of pasta with portobello mushrooms and black walnuts with a brandy cream sauce, Acqua Pazza (red snapper caught that morning in New Smyrna Beach ), and a fresh fruit tart with vanilla mascarpone cream. We were in a foodie’s paradise... growing up in an Italian family... the meal and evening far exceeded our expectations. It’s a must experience, and I promise to outbid you if I’m in attendance at the lucky charity that has this dinner up for bid.” - Jeanne Macaluso, Winter Park (purchased in support of Cure VCP)

This exclusive dining experience is available on a Saturday evening, June2024 - March 2025. To coordinate, contact Leah Miles at 561-281-1793 or leahmilestwogo@yahoo.com.
