Let's Talk Your Business Success.

I love owning my Desert Sage Direct Sales Soy Candle company. I work long hours. I enjoy been my own boss but it is hard work. But most of all it allows women to make money working from home. If you own your own business I know you get it. So let's talk success because in my mind failure is not an option. 1. Become a student of your business. No one should know your industry better than you do. Read everything, go to conferences and seminars. Don't be afraid to ask for help-it will save you a lot of time and money. 2. Stick with me, here. It's not so you can spend your flight bouncing your tennis ball against the airplane cabin wall (really, don't do that). We all know sitting for an extended amount of time wreaks havoc on your health, so it's no surprise that long-haul flights are not high on the list of healthy activities. Getting up, walking around

Discrimination against Women and Girls

Oxfam with Betty Carol Disney Discrimination against women and girls is both a cause and a result of the inequality that drives poverty. Women and girls have less power, money, land, protection from violence, and access to critical resources that break the cycle of poverty like education. We envision a world where women and girls gain power over every aspect of their lives and live free from violence. And that starts with the next generation of little girls growing up with no limits on their aspirations. Share this image now to remind your friends and family that girls should have the same opportunities as boys. #IWD2017 #discriminationagainstwomenandgirls

7 Powerful Healing Benefits of Aromatherapy

7 Powerful Healing Benefits of Aromatherapy February 5, 2014 By Dana Gottesman When I come home after a long day and it’s time to unwind, I dab a blend of lavender and sandalwood essential oils onto the soles of my feet to hasten the process. When a special someone in my household has tummy trouble, he’s been known to apply peppermint oil right onto his upset stomach. And once cold season hits, an aromatic mix of lavender, lemon, and peppermint flows through each room, opening up our airways. Whatever my body or mind asks for, I instantly wonder: is there an essential oil for that? Aromatherapy draws upon the healing powers of the leaves, flowers, stems, bark, seeds, roots, or peels of plant

1. When lighting our Desert  Sage Soy Candle for the first time burn until wax melts across entire surface to the sides of vessel (this prevents tunneling, and creates an even burn for the duration of the candle’s ‘life’) This may take up to 2-4 hours. 2. Trim wick to 5 mm before each burn to promote an even burn, steady flame and limit sooting/mushrooming of wick. 3. If soot forms on the inside of vessel, extinguish candle, wait for it to cool, then wipe with a clean damp cloth. Trim wick and relight. 4. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times. 5. Extinguish candle with a snuffer, or dip wick into melted wax and then straighten wick to prevent smoking and
