The Meaning Behind Our Circle
At first glance, our logo is a collection of circles. But to us, it is much more than a design. It is a reflection of who we are and what we believe.
Each circle represents a woman. Every woman is unique, bringing her own story, culture, profession, experiences, and dreams. Some are entrepreneurs. Some are mothers. Some are artists, educators, attorneys, physicians, nurses, executives, or students. Though our journeys are different, our lives are beautifully intertwined.
The circles overlap because no woman succeeds entirely on her own. We learn from one another, encourage one another, and lift one another. When one woman rises, she creates space for another to rise beside her.
The colors remind us that sisterhood knows no boundaries. Race, nationality, age, profession, faith, or background do not define a woman’s worth. Around our table, every woman belongs.
And then there is the circle that reaches beyond the others.
It represents the woman who may not yet enjoy the same opportunities or freedoms. She may be living in a community where girls are denied an education. She may be surviving war, poverty, human trafficking, domestic violence, or female genital mutilation. She may simply be a woman who feels unseen or alone.
She is not outside our circle because she doesn’t belong.
She reminds us that our sisterhood extends beyond the women sitting at our table. Our compassion, our concern, and our responsibility reach across neighborhoods, countries, and continents. Until every woman has the opportunity to flourish, our circle remains open.
That is why our gatherings are about more than sharing a meal.
They are about building a community where every woman is seen, heard, valued, and welcomed.
It is the spirit of the African philosophy of Ubuntu:
“I am because we are.”
That is the heart of And the Women Gather: Just Lunch.
We come as strangers. We leave as friends. And our circle is always open to one more woman.
