It is an exploration of the people, traditions, and cultures that make every meal meaningful.

Why This Book, Why Now? There has never been a more important time for women to take charge of their health. For decades, healthcare has focused primarily on treating disease after it appears. Today, science is transforming that conversation. We now understand that many of the chronic diseases affecting women—including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and even some forms of cognitive decline—often develop quietly over many years.
